"I keep telling myself every day that Special Olympics is all about having fun and it’s also about ability not disability. I sure am proud to be a part of Special Olympics because it has changed my life around in a lot of positive ways and it helped me grow and become the person that I am today."

Ways to Give

Special Olympics Wisconsin is made possible because of the efforts of many volunteers, coaches, athletes' families and the athletes themselves. In addition, more than 9,000 individual and corporate donors make Special Olympics Wisconsin come to life every year.

When Eunice Kennedy Shriver organized the first Special Olympics Games in 1968, her goal was to enhance the lives of people with cognitive disabilities through participation in competitive sports. It is the generous support of our individual and corporate donors that give our athletes those opportunities.

Special Olympics Wisconsin, Inc. is a 501(c)3 charitable organization.  Donations given are tax-deductible within IRS guidelines.
